So can we talk about this belt for a second?
I bought it before becoming pregnant after I saw a cute girl on Pinterest wearing one. I got pregnant and couldn't wear it for, well, until now. I see it everywhere now. I am not a huge fan of logos, but something about this belt made me happy. It's bold, yet simple, and I feel like it classes up any basic outfit.
This outfit is comprised of my most prized staple pieces.
The bodysuit I'm wearing is actually a dance leotard made by Capezio. It is my secret weapon for busty women who want to go braless. Especially right now, bodysuits are in. But the cute ones usually are not made to look good with a bra, and so many of us just can't go without. These leotards are the solution. For those of you who have never taken dance (in particular, ballet) and don't know the brand, Capezio is the créme de la créme of ballet uniforms. Their leotards are made of super thick material the can be worn day after day without budging, and gives you a smoothing support. The majority of them also have a built in shelf bra! That's it. That's my secret. I have worn this particular long sleeved black leotard to more than one event that was outdoors over the fall or winter, braless, and didn't even have to worry about my girls shining through. Be warned though, it's TIGHT so I would not recommend sizing down or anything like that, you'll be miserable.
For those of you who don't know, I work at Urban Outfitters, so I wear a lot of their clothes. These jeans are one of my favorite pairs, and I've probably owned about 10 of them. They don't last forever, but they're $60 and they sit super high up, which I love in my high-waisted jeans.
Shoes are from Topshop several years ago. I need to replace them ASAP. But I love them for now.
This all black ensemble its so fitted and put together and I wear it all the time. Like most outfits, its the accessories that bring it together. This time I chose big I-haven't-slept-a-full-night-since-my-son-was-born black sunglasses by Tom Ford, the aforementioned belt, a menswear inspired watch, and my favorite sheer jacket which you may recognize for my debut post. But a bodysuit/skinny jean combo can be the canvas for any fantastic look or, in my case, an everyday uniform.
