Luxe 80s fabrics are also back in full force. Real fur coats and form-fitting leather jackets have donned the likes of fashion icons like Sarah Jessica Parker and Victoria Beckham as of late.
Even dressed-down, off the shoulder tops paired with classic Reebok footwear has made its way to the red carpet on Scarlett Johansson. Sexy is also “back” with 80s hallmark lingerie as day wear and the definitive 80s mini skirt – in ruffles, leather, and even madras plaid.
Whether you were there the first time or are just discovering the appeal of 80s style, it’s a bold, colorful statement for the new millennium.
