Lens Cleaning

This article is solely for the parents, whose kids are having visionary problems and hate wearing glass specs. Well, do not worry anymore; the online stores are here where you can find the perfect replacement for a spec- a pair of contact lens. Kids often find it very uncomfortable wearing specs with thick frames and heavy glasses. They often break it while playing; this is certainly a matter of concern for the parents. Breaking a glass while playing can cause severe damage to your kid’s eyes. It can even make the kid completely blind. Moreover, the kids have tendency to put off the glasses, since they are pretty uncomfortable. This can also harm his or her eyes a lot; not wearing the glasses as prescribed by the eye specialist can increase the power.
However, with the introduction of the latest contact lenses, which are thin, soft and durable the problem does not remain anymore. Since contact lenses are made of plastic and are set in the cornea region of human eye, kids do not find it uncomfortable. They cannot even put it off whenever they want. Kids can do anything while wearing these contact lenses. There is no chance of any accident. The only thing the parents had to care about is cleaning the lens everyday. Safety precautions must be taken while cleaning a contact lens. Kids cannot do that; they can damage the lens while cleaning. A single scratch can damage the whole lens.
Wearing a glass is much easier than contact lenses; they just have to stick it on their nose. But the chances of accident cannot be neglected. Moreover, the frame of the spec can cause scratchy feeling which is no doubt very irritating. Kids often want to stay away from the glass specs due to this problem. Whereas, they do not feel any such thing wearing contact lenses. Each and every kid can wear contact lenses; but doctors prescribe contact lens for kids after 11 years of age. Even the infants can wear a contact lens if they have any visionary problem, but the parents have to insert and remove them. Teenagers are more attracted towards contact lenses than the adults; they find it more attractive and stylish than thick framed heavy glass specs.
There are certain precautions that must be followed while using contact lenses; a contact lens must not be worn the whole 24 hours. It must be removed while sleeping, otherwise it can cause problems. As discussed earlier, a contact lens must be cleaned everyday and very carefully. If your kid feels uncomfortable wearing the contact lens, then ask him or her to remove it. An eye specialist must be contacted in such cases. Since, contact lenses are very small kids sometimes lose it while playing. Another problem that people faces with contact lens is that it gets folded in half and gets hidden under the eye lid.
If your kid is having any visionary problem or problem with glass specs, then it is advised to consult an eye-specialist and get a pair of contact lenses for him.

Can I unfreeze DVD movie by cleaning lens?
This is often recommended using a DVD player cleaning disk but what I wonder is does it really work? My picture and sound are great–just freezes up. Has cleaning player worked to end freeze up for you? Or do they just suggest it because it’s easy to do?
Hi Richard,
I had freezing problems and tried the cleaning DVD but it didn’t fix mine.
On my player I was able to shine a light in and see the laser lens. It is a small circular piece of glass about 1/4″ in diameter. At any rate I figured I had nothing to lose so I got a cotton swab, dipped it in alcohol, shook it off and wiped the lens off. I let it dry a few minutes and it worked.
That was several months ago and it is still trucking along fine.
Hope that helps,
Norm
