PayPal situation avoided Ebay?
I was selling a pair of Oakley sunglasses on Ebay and a guy contacted me saying he would pay me a set price and we would go through PayPal and not ebay. I ended the auction and he sent payment and I in turn sent out the glasses. He e-mails me yesterday saying the glasses are fine, but I listed them on Ebay as a wrong subset of the model. I listed them as Flak Jacket XLJ not the regular ones. I even included a picture so it was not as though I was being dishonest, just a mistake. Since this went through PayPal and not Ebay is there anyway he could take his money back from me on PayPal or should I just ignore him.
He can still file a dispute against you. It will take him a bit longer then directly through eBay, but if the item you sold was not as you described, you will get pulled into the dispute and his money will be returned one way or another.
