(Zara dress, Steve Madden PAMPERD heel)
I'm baaaaaack. ;)
I can not even begin talk about how nice it is to not feel like a planet anymore. But at the same time, I would be lying if I said that I didn't love being pregnant. I have dealt with a lot of mental stress and disorders my whole life, and being pregnant was the first time that I felt leveled out. My hormones were balanced, I was having like zero mood swings (believe it if you want,) and I was the healthiest I have ever been in my life. I spent my days focusing on fitness, skincare, and eating well. I discovered that exercise was the key to (most) pregnancy ailments. Bad back? Strengthen your core. Swollen ankles? Cardio gets your blood moving. Troubles at home? Endorphins make you happy; happy people don't kill their husbands. (100 points to anyone who gets my reference.)
Anyway, while I loved being pregnant, it is soooooooooo nice to have a waist again. I'm still working on getting back in shape. I kept a bunch of my clothes from before I was pregnant but what no one let me know was that once you have a baby your body will be different. Like even if you are a super fit woman who is tiny 3 weeks after she delivers, EVERYTHING is different. I used to be a size 24, and I will NEVER fit those jeans again. Even if I get thinner and in better shape than I ever was before I got pregnant. My hips are wider, my boobs are bigger....basically I had to get rid of everything I once owned. So I have been doing some shopping for loose fitting basics until I get my new body in tip top shape. And where do I go for reasonably priced fashion that I don't need to last forever? You guessed it.....ZARA. My favorite store for fast fashion. I got this dress for practically nothing and it makes me feel sexy. And even pregnant, my 5'2" frame is conditioned to wear heels, so I feel in love with these Steve Maddens in an instant. I wear SM shoes so often that when I see a pair I like I'll just buy them....they're reliable, comfortable as hell, and I know that my feet will always fit my standard size six. I could seriously go on for days about my love affair with this brand.
